Do I have to have a “big” problem to go to therapy?

Nope. If it’s big enough to be on your mind, it’s big enough to bring into therapy.

Is therapy only for people who are ‘struggling’?

Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, break patterns, and grow—whether you’re in crisis or just craving change.

What if I’ve never done therapy before?

That’s totally okay! We specialize in working with therapy first-timers. We’ll go at your pace and take time to make sure you feel safe, seen, and heard. Read our Blog to learn more about how to prepare for your first virtual telehealth session.

How long will therapy take?

It depends on your goals. Some clients come for a few months, others stay longer. We’ll check in regularly to make sure it’s working for you.

What will therapy look like for me?

Since everyone’s journey is different, your sessions will be, too. Think of therapy like a custom roadmap—we’ll chart it together based on where you are and where you want to go. At Ready For Therapy we do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Our qualified clinicians will tailor your treatment to your unique needs.

What if I’m nervous?

That’s normal and welcome. Therapy is a big step—especially in a world that told you to just “get over it.” Your assigned mental health therapist will meet you with compassion, not judgment.

What do I do in sessions?

You don’t need to show up with the answers—that’s what you’ll work on collaboratively with your assigned clinician, who will adapt each session to support your goals, your pace, and what’s coming up for you in the moment.
