Clinical Director

Hi, I’m Vaniqua, a licensed clinical social worker in Nevada and the founder of Ready for Therapy. I bring over 15 years of professional experience in social work, with the past 10 years focused on offering crisis-based support.
My background spans a wide range of meaningful work:
Guiding women through their prenatal journeys
Helping individuals and families navigate end-of-life care in hospice
Supporting children and families in educational systems
Offering care to those surviving trauma
Treating those recovering from substance use disorders and suicidal ideation
I am experienced in working with women transitioning through the perinatal period or work towards overcoming postpartum/perinatal symptoms as a result of pregnancy, miscarry, childbirth, or infertility. I am a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) provider. Additionally, I am a STAR Provider—trained in to serve military service members, veterans, and their families. provider. This work is close to my heart, as I am have had my own perinatal challenges, I am a trauma survivor, and the child of a U.S. Air Force veteran.
