Preparing for Your Virtual Therapy Session
Virtual therapy is just as real, powerful, and connected as in-person support. You don’t have to leave your home to take a step toward healing—and we’re honored to walk that path with you.
At Ready for Therapy, your comfort, privacy, and well-being are our top priorities.
Virtual sessions offer flexibility and ease—but just like in-person therapy, a little prep goes a long way.
Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your teletherapy experience:
📅 Choose a time with minimal distractions. Try to schedule your session when interruptions will be limited.
🛋️ Find a private, cozy space. Whether it’s a bedroom, car, bathroom, or even a closet—anywhere you feel safe and uninterrupted is perfect. (Your therapist will be in a private space too!)
💻 Use a stable device. A laptop or desktop with a camera and microphone works best. Phones and tablets are totally okay—just try to keep them steady.
🔐 Protect your privacy. Password-protect your device, and consider using headphones or earbuds to reduce background noise and keep things confidential.
📍 Have your location and phone number ready. At the start of each session, we’ll check in on these details in case of tech issues or emergencies.
